John Bay, The Director of Decorah Chorale  

John Bay, founder and director, is a retired Special Agent of The United States Secret Service. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Criminal Justice degree from Wichita State University in Kansas. A scholarship music student at Iowa, Mr. Bay has conducted church, school, and community choirs for the past 48 years, including the acclaimed Lutheran Men's Chorale in Omaha, Nebraska; the Augustana Lutheran Radio Choir in Denver, Colorado; and the Greater Metropolitan Festival Choir, also in Denver. He sang professionally for seven years with the Cherry Creek Chorale, and has performed as soloist with numerous vocal organizations in Denver, Colorado and Washington, D.C.
